In-House Laboratory: Our In-House Laboratory includes state of the art equipment, which provides multiple services such as: CBC and chemistry analyzers, complete blood count analysis, urine analysis, and fecal exams that allow us to provide results in less than 30 minutes, so we can diagnose and render treatment before your pet leaves our hospital. Recently, we have added a hand-held Acid-Base balance analyzer to benefit pets suffering from vomiting, upper GI obstruction, diarrhea, kidney failure and diabetic complications. This enables us to provide immediate care and treatment to sick patients without waiting for outside laboratory results.
Radiographic: Equipment featuring X-Ray and Contrast Imaging services will soon include digital image analysis that will provide results in a few short minutes to help diagnose multiple problems and help determine the most efficient treatment options for your pet.
Anesthesia: All surgical procedures are done while your pet is under general anesthesia. Pre-anesthetic blood work is offered at an additional cost before the procedure in order to further ensure the safety of your pet. Intravenous catheters are employed to administer fluids while under anesthesia. During surgery, we monitor your pet's heart and blood pressure along with the use of a pulse oximeter. Post- surgical pain medication is offered at an additional cost.
Our clinic employs high quality, advanced dental equipment which provides deep cleaning services to your pet's teeth and gums that will further delay tooth decay for an extended period of time. Critical tooth extraction is offered in addition to plaque prevention services.
Boarding: We also require any pet who should be boarded to have confirmation that all vaccinations up to date prior to boarding or we will administer vaccinations upon arrival.
Grooming: Grooming services are offered to your pets on appointment-based needs.

Vaccinations
Vaccinations contribute tremendously to your pet's health and longstanding well-being. At North Hills Animal Hospital, we strongly recommend that our pet be vaccinated with all appropriate shots annually. Annual vaccinations protect your pet from life-threatening diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, rabies, and bordatella (kennel cough)..
Puppies and kittens have a higher susceptibility to these diseases. Therefore initial shots are vital to ensuring good health for your growing pet. The mother's milk contains antibodies that protect the beginning stages of your pet's life. However this protection soon diminishes the older the animal gets. Therefore vaccinations are given to provide further immunization.
